The Grasshopper is in MY hair?!!!!

Okay so Kade was outside playing with this grasshopper that kept jumping away from him. I was on the swing watching him and talking on the phone. He scared it and it jumped toward me. I said "Boy you better hope that thing doesn't land in my hair" and he got this evil grin and said it did!! Only the joke was on him because it actually jumped into HIS hair! I noticed it right as I was saying it so I yelled don't move, here talk to grandma, (I gave him the phone) I'll be right back. I ran in and got the camera. He didn't catch on until I said here look at the pics- and I flicked it out of his hair. I was laughing so hard when he said "HEY, it was in MY HAIR?" Yep Kade it was in your hair - not mine! teee heeee heeee!!!!!!

Burning Down The House: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?

A friend sent me this. It's long but makes you think. Tell me your thoughts!

Lets get prepared together!

We all know we are supposed to be prepared. Only I know I am not near as prepared as I should be. We had an enrichment activity at my church that got me all excited about getting my 72 hr kit together. I brought home bunches of handouts. Well this was a while ago- I put the stack up in my room and there it sat until now! I don't know if it's the weather or the gas problem around here or the economy, but I decided it really is time to get busy. I know there are millions of different variations of 72 hr kits and if you are like me you can get overwhelmed by the choices but I just came across one that is very basic - that will at least give me a head start until I get my "real" 72 hr kit together (along with the 5 other members of my family!) This one says it's great for the office or to send w/ college kids to school but I thought hey- why not the car!(Where there are people getting stuck on the side of the road with no gas it couldn't hurt right?!!) SOOOOOOOOOOOO 72 hr kit in a #10 can
  • TP or bathroom wipes
  • Foil Blanket
  • Light Sticks (great time to buy)
  • Hand Warmer (great time to buy)
  • Hand Wipes
  • Protein Bars
  • Poncho
  • Matches
  • First Aid Kit
  • Hard Candy and Gum- AVOID mint flavors

Along side add a 2 liter bottle of WATER

Thanks to Heidi Keck for the handout

Whovever already has their 72 hr kits done "gimmie a scream" with any extra tips you felt was helpful for you!

Good luck to all including me!! and happy preparing!!

Okay, as I sit here learning the language of blogging, I hear the playlist I put together for all to hear this Halloween season and I'm getting a little spooked! As the hubby is working late tonight! I wanted to try it out before everyone else heard- I deleted a couple of songs already. So if it is too much- just mute the music. Puleez don't be scared to come back often and check out my blog! ahhhhhh ha ha ha ha!!!

I'm tagged.... my quirks out in the open

I've been tagged! The Rules are... tell about 6 quirks of yours and then Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same, be sure to leave a comment to let them know. 1. I hate for anyone to pinch my nose -or even touch it for that matter. (If you must know, it rearranges things and I can't breathe.) 2. Hello. My name is Tiffany and I am affraid of ROBOTS! Yep you heard me- the big (or little) mechanical things! Don't ask why- I don't know. 3. If you do something to one side of of my face or body you have to do it to the other (it gets jealous, jk) I know strange, huh! 4. My sock seam has to line up on my toes just right - I don't like bunchy socks in my shoes!! 5. I love to start projects but to actually finish is a whole notha story!! 6. I hate when my sister packs her cereal- still!!! see her blog (party of five) Okay, I tag well, good question. I don't have many blogging friends so Jess, Jan and Lindsey this is for you!!

The Many Adventures of a 2 Yr Old

It was cute at first, but that didn't last long....peanut butter in the hair and clothes is not easy to get out. Neither is toothpaste, especially in the carpet. Not to mention pinkish-red fingernail polish all over fingers toes and yep more white carpet! But I caught her before she grabbed the vitamin jar and candy bar on the counter! Too bad I didn't catch her in her other curious acts!!
