Kade decided it was time to learn how to cut the grass (by himself). He wanted to surprise dad when he came home from work. Dad had planned on doing it among other things so Kade wanted to make the evening easier on him.
So after a million and I do mean a million tries at cranking it up, (that included my pregnant old self -if I had video of that you'd be laughing your butts off!!!) we got it started and he was off. He felt so proud- I loved watching the look on his face when he realized he was really doing it!! Really cutting the grass like his daddy!
Although I did quite a bit more than I had planned--most of the front and sides--Kade was really getting the hang of it and wanted to do the whole backyard, which he mostly did!
In the end - mission accommplished!! Dad was proud and relieved he didn't have to do it.
Look out Kade!!! This might become your new job!!

oh my gosh, great job! I'm such a wimp. He's so young. LOL
maybe, I should get dash going since he is older. Some reason I have it stuck in my mind that they have to be 10. Maybe, that is when my dad let me mow. I must have been immature, imagine that?? LOL
I remember cleaning the kitchen floor on my hands and knees as a surprise for my mum because I knew she had so much to do. She said I had done such a good job, that it would become my regular weekly job. Guess who didn't offer to 'surprise' mum again for an awful long time. Watch out Kade. Choose your thoughtfulness wisely ;o) (Great job though!)
now he's gonna get hair on his chest!!! :)
My son pushed the lawnmover down a hill when I was 7 months pregnant with my 4th child. He was only 3 1/2 years old! It was harder than heck for him to get it back up the hill!!? I don't think my DH let him cute the grass till he was around 10. I bet he was sore the next day, using all those muscles?! ;-)
You have to love it when they try to walk in their daddy's foot steps.
