Playtime

I had to capture this scene. Serrin was playing with her lego princesses (and a man) and pooh bear and a turtle. All nicely tucked in their bed- a washcloth!! She was singing - for those of you who can recognize the primary song "the rains came down and the floods came up." Only she didn't really know all of the words. Tooo cute!!

My Big Boy!!

Kade decided it was time to learn how to cut the grass (by himself). He wanted to surprise dad when he came home from work. Dad had planned on doing it among other things so Kade wanted to make the evening easier on him.

So after a million and I do mean a million tries at cranking it up, (that included my pregnant old self -if I had video of that you'd be laughing your butts off!!!) we got it started and he was off. He felt so proud- I loved watching the look on his face when he realized he was really doing it!! Really cutting the grass like his daddy!

Although I did quite a bit more than I had planned--most of the front and sides--Kade was really getting the hang of it and wanted to do the whole backyard, which he mostly did!

In the end - mission accommplished!! Dad was proud and relieved he didn't have to do it.

Look out Kade!!! This might become your new job!!

The beauty of a child....

So I told the kids we would make some chocolate chip cookies from scratch. Kade says "oh the kind that comes in the tube" (okay so that's really all they know) I had to laugh the poor boy. I said no from scratch, you know with flour and sugar. I said okay guys first we need flour. So Serrin says a flower? Okay and she starts to run outside to grab a flower. What sweet little innocence. I love moments like this that make me soooo happy to be a mother and witness the precious mind of a child...

FHE Fun!

For FHE Mon night we loaded up and headed over to pick out our plants and seeds for our garden this year. By the time we got back it was dark so we actually planted everything last night. Cali leaned up against the window to watch us until she just couldn't take anymore. She started screaming so I would come get her and take her outside. Serrin tried to plant the plants herself (a little too enthusiastic!!) And Kade decided to drink the water he was suppose to be feeding the plants with. And Amanda was out at a school play. But all in all it was a fun 2 nights. I love the garden and how it makes you feel when you care and nurish it. And boy, I can already taste the tomatoes !!

We went out to eat for lunch--Mexican our favorite!! The kiddies helped him open his gifts!

We made him breakfast!

Kade and Serrin decorated the area!! We had a lot of fun all day Sat as a family. A nice breakfast, then Amanda hit a mailbox with my new van, (it's okay no real damage tee hee) then a nice lunch. We tried to go bowling but no lanes open so we came home and rented movies. A great day in the Wilson home! I love it when there is happiness all around!

Serrin's room when Amanda moves her stuff out! Yes, a lot still to be done in all of the rooms like paint and decorations. But that is a task I thoroughly enjoy!!!!

My Handy Man!

We are closing in the loft to make another bedroom. This will be Kade's new room. Amanda is now in Kade's old room downstairs. Serrin will go to Amanda's room and Cali will stay put in the crib in the little room until the baby gets here. When we know if it's a boy or girl - then we will know what to do with Cali. Confusing I know but everyone is excited!

I couldn't get this pic to turn around- sorry. I wish you could see closer. My hubby is so amazing. I love to watch him work. He can do anything and I do mean anything! That doorway looks like it has always been there! Thanks babe for another perfect project!!

I got my new laptop yesterday and it is soooo nice to feel connected again!! I'll post more when I'm not chasing around crazy kiddies (babysitting today).

No tears for no laptop because.....

We purchased a new -well new to us- Nissan Quest! Yes, another Quest! For those of you that know, my old minivan was plum purple, with no air, only one slide door, back window rattled at high speed, locks had a mind of their own and would lock me out or in the van! and I could go on and on. While this one is only a 2001 it has 5 doors and air and it is a light silverish gold color. I am happy! The laptop will come soon though I hope. Until then my posts will still be few and far between. Though a lot has happened recently including the passing away of one of my best friends from high school, I will post pics and stories as soon as I can. I miss feeling close to all my blogging friends. I hopefully will be back on track soon. Love Tif

This is Tiff's sis Jaime and I am updating for her b/c it was bothering me to see Thanksgiving still, lol! j/k. I am updating to tell everyone she is hoping to get a laptop soon, and then she will be back to blogland...yea! Can't wait. In the meantime, here is a funny pic to look at from last Christmas. Upon coming home from my trip to my dad's I learned our computer has completely gone caput!! I am sad to say I will not be able to post or check out your lovely blogs until we get the stink'n thang fixed. Just another Manic Monday

Welp, the hubby is gone again. The house needs a once over and I still need to finnish the twilight series so I can watch the movie! I leave on Thurs. with my sis to go visit my dad in Texas, which I am sooooo very excited about! I will only have Cali with me and she is an easy baby. Buttttt - It will be a busy week for me. Church yesterday was great! FHE and Family counsel was last night and we went over our disaster plan and 72 hr kits. REALITY HIT!!! We realized we had no clue what eachother would do in case of an emergency. We now have a spot to go to for a house fire, tornado, evacuation, etc. (including a place in our yard, our neighborhood, and outside of our neighborhood.) The kids now know when and how to get help and what to say when they call 911. We know our 72 hr kits are on the shelf in the garage where we can grab them and go. (well they will be when we get one for each member) We checked out our fire alarms and batteries are good. A friend told me to also put a family portrait in every 72 hr kit- in case you get separated you can point to the person in the pic and ask if anyone has seen him/her. I hope we can all take this stuff seriously and heed the counsel we have been given. Good luck to all!

I took these pics for fun in our hotel after a Black Tie event for Terry's work in Penn. The evening was lots of fun! A New Orleans theme, we came home with lots of beads! We ate the best food ever! Some of the chocolates even had edible glitter!! We danced the night away(well, until we got back to the hotel) It was at that point I pulled out the camera and started taking pics of my crazy one and only!! Boy he sure can make me laugh sometimes!
